We have batteries for 3 iRobot Series Machines: Roomba 400 Series, Roomba 500 Series, and Scooba. Each type will have multiple models. See the categories below for compatibility. 1) Do-It-Yourself version (Pictured: Left): As stated, it will require the user to install this battery by replacing the actual battery pack inside the hardcase. This will involve opening the case and require a little bit of soldering.

2) Gray NiCD Hard Case (Pictured: Center): This is essentially a plug-n-play battery; just remove the old battery and replace. This battery is made up of NiCD cells, and is rated at 2.4Ah capacity. Capacity in this sense refers to the runtime of the unit.

3) Yellow NiMH Hard Case (Pictured: Right): This is essentially a plug-n-play battery; just remove the old battery and replace. This battery is made up of NiMH cells, and is rated at 3.3Ah capacity. The difference between this case and the grey one is the higher capacity. This yellow pack verson will provide almost double the runtime of the gray version. Despite the longer runtime, both Yellow and Gray versions are the exact same physical size (in terms of dimensions).

Tip for Longer Battery Life: Do not leave the fully charged battery in the charging bay for long periods of time (over 24 hours) under charge when not in use. Unplug charging unit. Instead, we recommend to charge the battery before you plan to use the Roomba. This will help extend battery life and save on the electric bill.
